Tried & True Platforms

Our exclusive partnership with Incat Crowther, an award-winning designer of both monohull and catamaran platforms, incorporates their vast experience with over 550 commercial and leisure vessels delivered worldwide.

Incat Crowther’s hull designs have been tested and proven in offshore applications in the roughest conditions, and offer the following benefits:

High Efficiency & Speed

A light and efficient aluminium hull design, paired with an optional eco-friendly electric mode, allows SHADOWCAT to deliver some of the highest speeds and the lowest total emissions of any support yacht available on the market.

Greater Stability for Safety

Our catamarans features a wider beam for greater stability, especially with high loadings and rough seas, for safer asset launches and recoveries, and during transfers. This translates to greater stability at anchor, with reduced roll and swing.

Targeted Superyacht Support

Designing support boats for superyachts is SHADOWCAT’s only focus. Unlike the competition, which repurposes hulls designed for other commercial applications, our sophisticated platforms are designed exclusively for the Superyacht client, offering the greatest function, comfort, stability and performance.

Plentiful Deck Space

Our innovative designs offer abundant usable deck space to accommodate a wide range of tenders and toys. SHADOWCAT vessels also have room for a fully certified helipad and hangar, for helicopters weighing six+ tons, with a possible D-value of over 16.1 metres. These include the Eurocopter EC145T2, Airbus H160 and the Leonard AW139 as well as military style equipment which can be housed in a full-beam permanent hangar.

Launch & Recovery

The launching options available with a SHADOWCAT design are unlimited, but can include:

  • Knuckle boom cranes from the upper decks for a single point lift.

  • Beam cranes on the main decks for a two- or three-point lift for more stability and larger tenders.

  • The possibility of a “dry dock” lifting platform between a catamaran’s aft hulls, which allows for a quick launch and recovery of up to 17 metre vessels.

“It’s refreshing to see this level of construction and mechanical specification in a support vessel of this class. The workers in the yard take great pride in the construction of the SHADOWCAT and continue to make impressive upgrades to an already great platform.”

Uncompromised Storage

SHADOWCAT’s innovative platforms provide multi-deck storage of all types of land- and water-based vehicles for any adventure.

In addition, there is still room for shop space, a submarine bay, a medical bay, gym, dive shop or any other specific need for which the vessel is required to cater.

“Hodor has delivered what we hoped and more, a support vessel that improves overall operations and the Owner’s enjoyment.  Highlights of our experience would be the success of the innovative design, the functionality and flexibility that the platform offers and the speed at which the vessel went from concept to completion.”

 Fleet Captain David Beharrel
